Latest beauty haul!

WOW I haven't added a blog entry for SO long! I guess I have been busy lazy and abandoned my blog, fear not, I am back!!! I have actually missed writing and adding photo's so I shall endeavour to make more of an effort! Due to busy schedule with my jobs, I guess this has been my last place to leave my thoughts!

So... ANYWAYS.... my latest beauty haul includes all these items from Nu Skin. I have been wanting to try the whitening toothpaste for a while now, just finished my stock of Colgate Total and I said to myself I would try this whitening one as it's one of the worlds bestest whitening toothpaste you can get! Very intrigued as I wanted to have my teeth whitened but scared due to the harsh chemicals and my teeth can be quite sensitive at times so this is a safe option for me!
I bought a face essentials guide as it would benefit me in what I can recommend to my clients as I haven't tried absolutely everything in the Nu Skin range, probably only 1/4 of the entire store but I love what I am using at the moment in the ageLOC range. I also got some more of my ageLOC gels for my face & body galvanic machines preparing my body for the summer!! Planning on holidays from May onwards so am working on it now! Otherwise I just wont do it!  It's always easier said than done right?
Of course I got a bottle of the moisture mist, which is my absolute holy grail! Each bottle is 250ml and it lasts me about 2 months which is a real bargain price at about £15 per bottle! Just love love the stuff!! Will be blogging about it soon!!

See you guys real soon!

Epoch Glacial Marine Mud Nu Skin Product Review

Mud masks are very effective in terms of deeply cleansing your epidermis, which is your top layer of skin that you can see. Good mud masks extracts impurities that may or may not be visible to the naked eye, and helps to rejuvenate your skin to stay healthy.

People may see open pores on their face and not realise that they are opened and always collecting bacteria from the environment and it lives in your dermis, which is skin deep and can form spots, blackheads/whiteheads/pimples - dirt basically! I hate knowing how much dirt is trapped under my first layer of skin, hence why I do weekly mud masks as well as using my Galvanic Spa to really help draw out the impurities and giving my face that healthy glow it deserves!

I use to think it was so strange that people use mud masks, until I understood what was actually contained in these mud masks. Epoch's Glacial Marine Mud is in fact fortified with over 50 naturally occurring elements and minerals, including zinc and sea botanicals. This glacial variety is naturally cultivated to be highly absorbent for a cleansing experience that exfoliates and brightens. This powerful, yet gentle, formula is safe for every day and all over use including the back. For people who have large pores on their back and are afraid to show their back, this would help to deep cleanse and prepare for smaller, closed pores giving you the confidence to wear backless tops/topless!

I have tried quite a few different brands and they each feel different on my face, and giving me different results. For example, some break me out real bad and makes my skin so oily, my skin isn't usually oily either! Sometimes it takes more than one application to know it isn't doing me any favours so it all does take some time to love them or hate them.
I have experienced redness as well as tightness on my skin just after a few minutes of applying the mud mask, therefore I find it difficult to trust using another mud mask again! Especially if they are expensive and claim to give you maximum results, it's even more annoying when you can't get samples so you have to trust their word for it, which is what everyone does!

For £25, there is 200g of product in this tube of product. What I love most about this product apart from the results, is that the mud mask dries up so quickly and you don't need to apply a thick layer to your skin, essentially, the tube would last me longer to keep as I am using it 1-2 times per week and a little really does go a long way.

Pro's:

  • flexible tube stands upright which means gravity allows the product to come out from the bottom of the tube, making sure you get the most out of your product
  • flip top lid
  • a little goes a long way
  • quick drying time, less than 2 minutes you can see it drying, it changes colour so you don't need to keep touching it
  • washes off easily, no peeling or cracked effect
  • amazing results after it is washed out, skin is immediately smoother, refreshed and visible deeply cleansed
  • suitable for face and body
  • Safety-allergy-dermatologist tested

Con's:

  • consistency of the mud mask is quite watery so shake the bottle before squeezing it out the tube
  • the scent can be a little strong is you have sensitive smelling but it does wear off
  • stains clothes/fabric!

 Ingredients:

  • Sea Silt*, (Water) Aqua, Algae Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben.
    *Glacial Marine Mud®

Some of the more than 50 skin-beneficial minerals featured include:

    • Copper - helps improve skin strength, cutting down on fragility.
    •  Zinc - helps modulate oil production and also aids in skin healing.
    • Magnesium - a necessary component of the skin’s natural energy cycle.
    •  Silver - aids the skin’s antimicrobial activity.

If you have problems with large open pores, and have tried millions of things to try get rid of them but don't work, then I highly recommend this mud mask! Not only does it give your skin a clear finish, the natural ingredients absorbs excess oils, exfoliates your dead skin without harsh rubbing and deeply cleanses deep down into your pores.

There is no heated feeling as some mud masks can give you that feeling that it is working deep down into your skin but this one doesn't. It dries up and does the hard work while you relax.
mud mask working hard whilst I relax
As you can see, my impurities would be in my cheeks - nose area, the mud mask works hard by deeply cleansing the open pores and you can see from (my disgusting) picture that it has absorbed the excess oils and impurities. I have never experienced that from a mud mask before and seeing it believing, this one what I love about this product!
This was my skin 2 weeks ago, break outs under my chin area, redness, open pores, discolouration.

after 2 weeks of using the Marine Mud  Mask
This is my skin a week later after using this 4 times and after I have washed the mud mask off. I haven't applied any serum or moisturiser to my face, and it feels refreshed!

after I have washed the mask off - super soft feeling!

After my first use, I couldn't stop touching my face! The texture of my skin feels so super soft, refreshed and well looked after! The redness had calmed down, the pores were closed and instantly I could see my skin was a lot brighter.

It is absolutely essential for me to have clear skin as I do a lot of commercial modelling work and the last thing I want is skin that reflects on my immune system. I have a relatively good amount of nutritional intake including 2-3 litres of water per day with my vitamins and minerals. When I don't get as much sleep and travelling here, there and everywhere, dealing with high levels of stress and working in terrible pollution environments, my skin takes its toll! It's quite sensitive and when it comes to modelling, a lot of make up is slapped on my face (because that's how it works) and it can really harm my skin. I wouldn't say I spend a lot of time on my skin, just a quick few minutes of preparing per night before bed, usually letting the products set on my face so it's not really me doing the hard work - it's the products. The right products would do an excellent job and only you can see and feel the difference it makes which is why it is important to find out the active ingredients of each product I purchase/use.

I use this 1-2 times per week in between my Galvanic Spa , I use this after my shower, before bed. I apply it to my cleansed face, a generous amount all over my face avoiding the lips and eyes. After about 20 minutes the mud mask dries up and becomes a light aquamarine colour, it hardens slightly and does not crack, that is when you know it is ready to be washed off with warm water, then I use cool water to splash on the face to close the pores. I then moisturise to keep the skin feeling moisturised. Seeing really is believing with this mud mask!!

I would recommend this product to all males and females, it's a great gift idea and real bargain for money! Love this product and would definatly repurchase!

Nu Skin ageLOC Transforming Night Cream

Night creams are a must-have in my skin care regime! Why? Simply because it is like food for my skin whilst I sleep.

I recently wrote a post on 'What is night cream?' and the main benefits of using a night cream in your skin care regime, click here to see .

Applying night cream before I sleep is like brushing my teeth before bed. It's a must-do and if I don't, I can see the difference. My skin is nourished and recharged when I do apply night cream before bed, especially if it is a good night cream!!

It's very important for me to have manageable skin when it comes to my daily life as I am constantly meeting people, and doing my modelling work therefore presentation is an important factor to me.

I have used tonnes of night creams, various brands with various promises and textures of the product but how do I know which one is the best for me? Well, if it doesn't make my skin feel tight, not too heavily scented, not too oily for my normal/dry skin, one that doesn't contain alcohol then I have more confidence in using it!

I discovered this Nu Skin night cream early on this year when I started using the Galvanic Spa back in March-April. It is from the ageLOC range which is very cleverly created by the top scientists, the entire range has been my ultimate number 1 favourite range of skin care I have ever used. I love the benefits of each product, without harming my skin, I can see why it is so exclusive, even Gemma Shephard (celebrity stylist) and Emma Forbes have saluted to it as it is their favourite skin care range.
I have been very fortunate to meet Gemma Shephard in London at an exclusive Nu Skin conference, where she talked about why she saluted to Nu Skin and the fact that she loves the ageLOC range. I felt very exclusive to have the ageLOC range in my life.

I love how this rich-formula blends into my skin smoothly and leaving no trace of grease or tightness to my skin. I am very weary of how my skin feels without half an hour of application, usually this is the amount of time I have to decide about the cream. This also gives enough time for the product to set into my skin.
I always apply my night cream at least half hour before I go to sleep. This is so my skin is fully hydrated and rejuvenated, making sure that it is doing it's job right otherwise why else would I purchase it in the first place?

Each jar contains 30ml (1fl. oz.) of product.

This product is aimed at those who are wanting to prevent wrinkles and fine lines, male and female.

I apply a thin layer of this Transforming Night Cream to my index finger (photo shows how much to use) and dot it around my face, avoiding the eye area. I then use both hands to gently massage it into my face and neck in an upward and outward motion. This lets gravity help my skin to be uplifted and the lotion sinks into the skin within 30 seconds.

Mine has lasted me for at least 3 months as a little definitely goes a long way! People seem to think that by applying a thick layer means the product would work better when you sleep? no it doesn't! Too much can do the opposite so don't be tricked into using too much product!

It's about quality not quantity, you seriously don't need to apply a huge amount of product onto your skin/face to ensure its promises are correct. You are doing more damage to your skin that letting the products benefit you in the way it promises.

Just a small amount can make the difference to how your skin/face is. When we get small samples at counters, you don't get much do you? no! and this is because a-little-goes-a-long-way, as well as it could end up being wasted. Every ones skin acts differently in differently environments, times, climates, diets, etc. Therefore it's a matter of trial and error and understanding how the skin works in different climates, seasons and changes.

I like the way the expiry date is printed on the back of this jar!
For me, I have different skin care regimes when the weather goes from one extreme to another. For instance, when it's warmer, spring-summer I have oily skin but can be dry in the evening time, so I use less of a toner and a more rich moisturiser for day and night, my SPF is a 35+ to protect my face from having dark spots.  Also a mud mask once a week and a face mask in between, also use my face Galvanic 1-2 times per week to deeply detox my skin and not having as much black heads on my nose.
During the colder seasons in autumn-winter, I use vitamin C based products, SPF 15 day cream, face lightening products to lighten my dark spots which have grown since the summer. I use my face Galvanic 3 times a week to fully detox the skin and prepare for spring-summer for a much healthier glow.
I first tried the ageLOC range since I discovered the face Galvanic in January 2013. I researched about it and watched a lot of youtube videos, read testimonials and could see a huge difference in people's skin. I decided to use it and loved the results.

I then went on to research the ageLOC range and was very intrigued by the ingredients as well as the benefits. I then purchased the Transforming Night Cream. During my first use, I was very much in love with the rich formula, it doesn't just sit on the surface of the skin but it absorbs so smoothly and doesn't tighten my face or make it feel oily at all. To me, that is very important as I trust the product to do me wonders whilst I sleep and want to wake up to good skin! Who doesn't? I also tried some at the back of one hand to see the difference and I liked how smooth it felt, and the texture of my skin was different to the other. The one with the cream looked more radiant and moisturised, the next morning it looked more youthful and I knew this cream was my holy grail!

I love how this cream does not block my pores, I notice a huge difference in the colour and size of my pores when I wake up. Applying pore minimising serum doesn't always help it, I have to wait for it to dry and other products to unblock them and deeply cleanse them out, can't be that good for my skin. Luckily my face Galvanic Spa deeply cleanses them!

Ingredients:

•    Works together with the skin’s natural night-time repair and renewal processes, strengthening skin’s natural barrier for stronger, more resilient skin.

I can confirm that this has definitely done the right things for my skin. Being able to have good results makes me trust the brand so much more, which is why I have purchased ageLOC® Elements & Future Serum as I loved reading the research behind each product and understand their key ingredients.

Not only this but also:

Contains advanced anti-ageing ingredients that are
scientifically proven to:
Stimulate youthful cell turnover by 85% for a smoother,
softer texture you will feel.

45% for visibly younger looking skin.

Pro's:

  • light scent of refreshing lemon-like cools my dehydrated skin. The scent isn't long lasting on the skin therefore it won't linger on your pillows.
  • the rich formula sinks into the skin and provides a moisturised face without the excess oils or tightness
  • a little goes a long way, this pot of 30ml cream has lasted me 3 months now, and there is at least another 3 weeks of daily use left.
  • In reality I am spending £15 minimal a month for a night cream which really works! This is a long term investment and very important to me.
  • Professionally presented in a thick glass jar, presented in black and white packaging
  • This exclusive cream features ageLOC® to combat the ultimate sources of ageing. - stated by Nu Skin themselves, ageLOC range works on our ageing DNA which help to prevent signs of ageing that we don't see.
  • Can buy this product in 54 countries therefore it is accessible if you live i various countries or visiting other countries.
  • neatly presented in it's own box, or if you buy the ageLOC Elements kit, it comes in a presentation box.
  • sinks into my dry/normal skin and hydrates it without any redness or rash like I have experienced in the past
  • skin is smoother after it is dried in my skin - this is very important to me as I don't like the feeling of sticky products sitting on the surface of my skin! Who does?

Con's:

  • jar is quite heavy but overall, the material used for the presentation is high-end
  •  does contain a scent (fragrance in the ingredients list)
  •
So far, this is my ultimate favourite night cream I have ever tried and I have highly recommended this to everyone who has the same skin combination as me, male or female. I love the fact that I have an excellent product on my skin and knowing it is working on my ageing DNA, I have never come across any product out there which has the scientific facts behind their products. I want to prevent myself from having wrinkles now before it gets too late!

What Is Night Cream?!

Not everyone understands the use of night cream or heard of night cream - I was one of them until I was about 22 years old. The price would put me off and there are so many options in terms of brands in every single drug store, I didn't know if a night cream was even necessary? Now I know and I want to share with you why it is important to use one!

I use to think that by applying a thicker layer of a moisturiser would do the trick, or perhaps just applying some after sun on it each night would help protect my face from the harmful UV rays my skin has been getting from the day time. I then went on to research about what night creams can offer me and decided if it was really necessary? I soon bought night cream and just used it waiting for good results, some worked and  unfortunately some didn't. I broke up in spots, acne, skin was more oily and some patches were still dry. Annoying, because I thought all night creams would make the skin become its best it can!! obviously not.

which night cream should I go for next?

I enjoy using night cream because it really looks after my skin when I sleep, research shows that, "night time is the optimal time to maximise existing natural processes that occur in your skin. It is more receptive to ingredients that will help restore and revitalise its appearance. " (Dr. H. Maes, Ph.D, Vice President of Global Research & Development at Estée Lauder)

When you sleep, your skin becomes dehydrated, we sweat (even if we don't see it) which is very important because your cells enter a state called Osmotic Shock and they may die. We need to make sure our skin is hydrated with the right products so we don't wake up to dry patches or flaky skin. NO matter how much oily products you add to the skin, it wont solve the dry patches. Applying a night cream can help your skin to be replenished and hydrated and do the hard work whilst we dream away.....

It is vital we find the right products to use at the right time, to obtain maximum results and feel confident about our skin. When we use the wrong products that don't work with our skin, we develop a reaction to our skin, telling us it's not agreeing to our skin, such as a rash, spots, redness.

Of course, we need to be fully hydrated during the day, sleeping the correct amount of hours, having a balanced diet and protecting our skin day and night, otherwise we end up with flaky, fatigued, unhealthy looking skin which can cause you to have aged premature skin and difficult to manage.

make up free skin, ready for bed....

"The skin regenerates three times faster at night than during the day," explains Julia Fauchet, trainer at Lancôme. Cellular renovation activity reaches a peak between the hours of 2am and 4am. The skin recuperates more effectively during this time, thus the importance of boosting this high reparative activity.
I find it difficult to keep my body clock in sync as I do day and night shifts, but I always ensure I am using my night cream when I sleep so I let the product do the hard work whilst I am resting.
I always apply night cream at least half hour before I sleep as it absorbs better.
If you are not sure which night cream to use then check out the ingredients and ask what it offers you in terms of it's promise.
I recommend alcohol free creams and ones with natural ingredients such as aloe vera or vitmain E.

Flexitol Foot Cream Product Review

This post might sound disgusting but I blog about alot of things and it's so important to share! Don't worry, there aren't any photos of my feet lol! I don't dare do that, it will put you guys off from coming back to my blog lolz!

I am up on my feet for atleast 10 hours per day!! that's atleast 70 hours per week!! incredible how I am still able to walk! I don't wear heels often due to several reasons, mainly because I work as a nurse and we aren't allowed to wear heels anyway! With the amount of pressure on my feet, you can imagine how hard the skin feels, I have a very high arched feet and a lot of pressure is situated at the front of my feet so you can imagine how badly treated my poor feet are! I don't even think you can imagine the pain I am in when I get home from a long shift.....

A lot of us abandon our feet, we only care about it when we are showing it, but without our feet where would we be? Our feet takes us to places, helps us swim, carries our weight, and more!

So about my feet..... the most un-feminine part of this blog post.... I don't want to hide things from you so I may aswell tell you like how it is hehe! Like I have mentioned, I have a very high arched feet, I never knew it was not what everyone else had, I use to be able to walk in might high heels, but since I was later teenager, I just couldn't. I began having blisters since I was a kid, calluses, veruca's, everything! Now, my feet are so damaged, I have seen a chiropodist and they have said I need to have surgery to get my feet to be flat.
It's so difficult for me to buy stylish shoes that are comfortable, I mean, having wide feet doesn't help either! so that's that idea out of the window, I have so much trouble finding the right pair of shoes to fit me and make me feel comfortable in, and yet stylish to match my outfits - it's a nightmare!
I have thick skinned feet, I see my chiropodist every 4-6 months for a full review and also have my calluses professionally removed with the tools and also top up on buying the foot cream.

I have tried to use the pumice stones in the bath, out the bath, ped-eggs after a shower and when the feet are completely dry (apparently they are the worse things to use for thick skinned feet! just shaving he layers of the dead skin off doesn't solve the problems), soaking them in water and filing them, you name it - it doesn't work!! I was almost giving up to be honest with you and that was when I met my lovely chiropodist who gave me the confidence to take the socks of and reveal my awful feel!! From that day, I never regretted making that appointment to consult her about my terrible painful condition and I am glad I am not the only one either!

I now use a callus remover blade with the tool, a foot filer and foot cream. Of course, like any blade, you must take extra care in using it on your skin, I have cut myself a few times and left blood trails around my apartment but as long as the hard calluses are gone then I am content!!

I have tried using all sorts of creams for my feet believe me and I have found 2 to be very effective so far. The amount of money I have spend to make my feet to feel less painful are quite scary! Not many people care about their feet, until they start wearing sandals ....... then they panic!! I look after my feet all year around to avoid that panic. There's nothing worse than going out in shorts and a T with sandals and thick dry skin on your feet? EWWW....

Let's face it, we hide our feet as much as we can, unless you were just born with good feet and you don't stay up on your feet all day long like some people do....

One of my favourite foot creams that I have bought over and over again is this Flexitol foot cream. Why? well, it is a well known brand specialising in feet, it does exactly what it says/shows, there is nothing more than evidence and recommendations from feet specialists, I decided to give it a go and waited patiently for fantastic results, which I got within a few days! It's perfect for those with thick calluses and dried thick heels, this helps the skin to feel smooth but then you got to file it down or get them removed. I suggest you seek a professional chiropodist to give you some advice as the bladed callus remover can easily cut the skin and possibly cause infections!

It claims to:

  • Scientifically formulated
  • Results in 3 days
  • Hydrates dry, cracked heels and feet.
Pro's:

  • it does exactly give you the results of what it shows/says
  • a little goes a long way, 1 tube would last me about 3 weeks when I use it twice a day
  • see the amazing results within a few days
  • medically proven to work with photographic evidence
  • definitely hydrates the thick heels and feet
Con's:

  • greasy feeling, I always slip around my laminate flooring
  • not available in drug stores all the time as it is a huge sell out product all year round
  • feels a bit sticky at times, not comfortable on my feet
  •  it's a bit of a pain to squeeze out once the product is coming to an end as so much air fills the tube so I have to really battle with it to getting the last few drops of it

It's not always available in shops as it's a huge sell out in drug stores, it's easy to find online, I tend to purchase it on amazon as it's cheaper, for less than £6 including delivery. Sometimes there are special offers at drug stores so that's when I am most likely to purchase as I know it's a real bargain and I have tried this more than a few times!

This product is suitable for those who are on their feet for long hours, they develop hard skin and then it becomes difficult to get rid of but this cream is the start to the solution! The skin becomes soft and easier to file down, I never thought I would ever try a product that would give me the re-assurance that my feet can be saved lol!!
Not recommended for open wound on the feet as it may cause an infection, especially those who are diabetic and have foot ulcers. Please read the warning before purchasing!

 Have happy feet!

Exfoliating Away Your Dead Skin Cells

from Superdrug for about £2.49
I use to wonder why would you wear gloves for your shower or bath and why do they kinda of feel rough and not smooth?

You can get the exfoliating gloves in alsorts of colours from different drug stores or companies, prices vary but I wouldn't pay too much for them as they all do the same thing - exfoliate the skin.

The first time I tried one of these exfoliating gloves was when I was about 20 years ago. I didn't have a clue what I was doing but I got the hang of it and also reading up in magazines for instructions also helped.

I find that by using the exfoliating gloves, it saves alot of time and bother when it comes to prepping the skin for the sun and to maintain the healthy glow all over my body.

Exfoliation is defined as the removal of surface dry skin cells.

I would not recommend this for the face as the skin on the face is very delicate, there are other ways of exfoliating the face.

Using the exfoliating glove on areas such as the elbows, knees and your heels can really benefit the skin to exfoliating and becoming smooth because they bend and stretch the most which dry the skin and become thicker skin when it's not exfoliated. It can also resolve some skin problems in the near future ensuring your skin is healthy and glowing.

It really is no extra effort for me when it comes to exfoliating, it's actually a luxurious treat for the skin and at the end of the day, I will be thankful for it as it maintains my skins elasticity and youthfulness. It helps the products to work well in my skin and it is just an extra step added to my skin care regime once a week.

I exfoliate my whole body from shoulder to toes twice a week, face 2-3 times a week with my Galvanic Spa , exfoliate my lips once a week so I have smooth skin from head to toe!

If your skin becomes red, painful and looking irritated then it means you have over-exfoliated or used too much pressure on the skin. Let your skin heal and ensure you use a good soothing lotion on top of the skin. Over doing it can cause more damage than good, so it is important to be gentle to the epidermis.
The benefits of exfoliating is that it works below the epidermis, can help your skin texture to improve, promote collagen, promote efficient blood flow. Not only this, but it can also help the new skin to absorb the lotions. If your skin is exfoliated well then the lotion will sink into the skin straight away, if not then you know what to do !! Also another test you can do at home to see if you have dry skin cells on your skin is to take a piece of clear tape and apply it to the forehead. Rub it gently and remove. Look at the tape! If there are little pieces of flaky skin, then you need to exfoliate!

It is vital you moisturise after exfoliation so you can maintain the skin's smoothness and lock in the moisture.
I like to use a rich moisturiser with no alcohol in as the alcohol can make my skin feel tight and it irritates it so chose your moisturiser wisely.

Have fun~

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Cream Wash Product Review

I was super excited to try this Neutrogena face wash! The fact that it had grapefruit in and it was pink really excited me and I couldn't wait to go home, finish my current face wash and start using this one!

I first discovered Neutrogena when I was a late teenager and I can still remember my first product from the brand was one face wash to help with my pores, and it was brilliant! It made my skin feel refresh and clean, also squeaky!

Alot of supermarkets and drug stores sell Neutrogena but not this range. I found this range at Boots so every time I ran out of the cleanser, I knew exactly where to go.

I have tried the whole Neutrogena range for my face and this one is my favourite product!

For £4.49 there is 150ml of the product, which lasts me about 3 months when I use it day and night.
I love the smell as it smells of grapefruit, I love how soft it feels on my skin, it foams up nicely and sits gently on my skin.
The cleanser is not too watery, it's like a silky thick liquid. I make sure my face is wet with warm water, I then put this to my face wash brush and it all over my face every morning and before bed.

It promises to:
  • fight against spots and blackheads

My skin is not acne-prone fortunately, it's combination-dry and very sensitive when its cold. I have large pores and black heads on my nose area. After using this, my pores felt cleansed, and my black heads are less visible, definitely made a difference to my black heads.
I also have redness around my nose area due to hormones, this cleanser has helped to calm it down slightly as they are not as bright.

Ingredients include:

[PR-009722] : Aqua, Cetyl Alcohol, PPG-15 Stearyl Ether, Polysorbate 60, Steareth-21, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Lactate, Cetyl Lactate, Stearyl Alcohol, Citrus Grandis Fruit Extract, Panthenol, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Menthol, Xanthan Gum, Myristyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Chloride, Isopropyl Alcohol, Alcohol Denat., Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Disodium EDTA, Glycolic acid, Lactic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, BHT, Benzalkonium Chloride, Parfum, CI 16035.

The fact that this product contained alcohol put me off, I don't like to use alcohol based products on my skin, especially my skin as it dries it out so much and can make the skin age quicker.

Pro's:
You can stand the tube on the lid
  • refreshing feeling on my face
  • gentle formula
  • great for super sensitive skin like mine!
  • the lid is at the bottom of the tube which means you will get majority of the product from the bottle as you can stand it on the flat bottom lid.
Con's:
  • skin has patches of dry skin afterwards sometimes
  • sometimes it makes my skin feel like it's striped the natural oils away therefore my skin squeaks when I rub it
  • my cheeks feel really tight
  • does not eliminate make up effectively
  • contains alcohol

I did enjoy using this cleanser, mainly in the summer time due to it's refreshing smell and feeling afterwards. I purchased this about 3 times before, sometimes the drug stores do special promotions so that is why I pick them up.

NaPCA Moisture Mist vs Bio Oil

It's so important to know what we use on our skin because our skin is the largest organ we have to protect our organs, our cells, our brain.
Our skin can tell us how healthy we are, how hydrated or dehydrated we are.
The colour of our skin can determine how healthy we are, the texture can tell us how well looked after we are.

I moisturise atleast twice a day, once in the morning, and then after my shower at night before I go to sleep.  Even more in the cold, winter seasons because having smooth, supple, hydrated skin makes the skin look younger! I moisturise my hands more than anywhere else on my body as I wash my hands alot, I work in a hospital therefore hand hygiene is impeccable.
Everyday our skin goes through the tug and pulling, scratches, damages from UVA/UVB rays, allergy reactions, being in unclean environments, or using products which aren't right for us can show up. We may scar from the skin damage we go through, or we might have bruises or minor scratches. The skin will heal quicker if you use the right product, sleep a good amount, eat the right amount of nutrients etc.

I discovered Nu Skin and their products early this year, I really enjoyed reading up on the benefits of the products and understanding their ingredients in each product. I use a wide range of the Nu Skin products including Galvanic Spa which really helped to change my skin, you can click here for more information.

I really enjoy using the NaPCA Moisture Mist Spray whilst I use my Galvanic Spa because it really locks in the moisture of my Galvanic Treatment Gels . I also use it to set my make up, before I sleep, after I washed, toned and cleansed my face if my skin feels dry, it's great for the hair whenever I feel like my ends are getting abit dry from blow drying it. I also spray it lightly on my hair before I go out in the sun to lock in my hair's natural moisture, it's great for the body after I moisturise I spray a light spritz in an X shape across my body and that's enough already.

The mist spray pump is different to any other product bottle pumps because it spreads evenly in the air and the liquid does not leak out of the bottle like some I have tried in the past. This makes sure your NaPCA Moisture Mist spreads evenly after just one pump. You can see this in the air how fine the particles are giving the product an even flow on your skin and not waste any product.

Strawbeefull NaPCA moisture mist from Nu Skin
For just less than £13, there is 250ml of the product which has lasted me 3 months now and I use it every single day to set my make up, refresh my face after it's been washed, I use it with my face Galvanic Spa , Body Galvanic and also on my hair before heat gets onto it. It's very universal to me and that's what I love about it.

dried apricots, 2 empty sample bottles, NaPCA mist spray, bio oil, marker pen

I demonstrated the use of Bio Oil with the Nu Skin NaPCA Mioistuire Mist by using dried apricots as an example of the skin.
02/05/13 09:50am

In one bottle I added nothing but Bio Oil  and in the other bottle I added nothing but NaPCA Mist Spray with the dried apricots. I left them in my dark cool kitchen overnight and within 6 hours I could see the difference! Within 8 hours the dried apricots were transformed!
02 05 13 18:00

As you can see, I wrote the date and time of when I poured in the lotions into these bottles.

At 18:00 this was the result.

The one on the left containing Bio Oil was soaking the dried apricots and they remain the same shape and size. Whereas the one on the right containing the NaPCA Mist has transformed the dried apricots into plumpy apricots making it grow back to its original size.

Can you imagine what this does to your skin?!
almost 9 hours later the result

It contains:

Water (Aqua), Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Aloe barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium PCA, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Fructose,  Glycine, Inositol, Lactic Acid, Niacinamide, Urea, PPG-5-Ceteth-20, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Methylparaben, Sodium Benzoate.

Which means:
  •  Hyaluronic acid - an effective humectant that helps maintain ideal moisture levels - which is why the dried apricots plumped up and returning to its original shape. The moisture is absorbed into the
cellular structure of the dried apricot.
  • Humectant sodium PCA - helps to establish and safeguard essential moisture levels.
I have tried bio oil in the past, probably about 10 bottles and it doesn't give me adequate results. I don't want to waste more money on products that don't work on my skin and I like researching into products that I use to know I get the best out of what I buy.
Ensuring my skin has the right amount of moisture can help reduce the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles. Applying additional moisture or helping the skin maintain the water normally present will leave the
skin’s surface and appearance much smoother and softer. I want healthy looking skin from inside out - don't you?!
