Frozen Yoghurt at Meecha

Huge trend in America,  Asia, and now in England - it is like an alternative to a meal or as a snack, depending on my mood but usually I have it as a treat.

When I travel, I always find my nearest frozen yoghurt kiosk and luckily I have one near-by which have endless options in their toppings and sauce for a set price!

I am never disappointed in the freshness of their fruits and their chocolate brownies are always soft and chewy, perfect infusion as a treat!

Meecha is famous for their bubble tea drinks as well as their frozen yoghurt's, there aren't many places in Birmingham or England for that matter so it is dissapointing to not find one when I visit a different city or country.  Luckily for me, I have frozen yoghurt kiosk nearby called Meecha (use to be called Moocha if you are confused about the names).

Meecha offer a choice of 4 different sizes starting with mini, small, medium and large. I usually go for a small as it is very satisfying with the toppings for just an extra 80p, unless if you have a large and you want toppings then it's £1 extra.

There are 2 choices of flavours for their frozen yoghurt's, original or vanilla (very similar to ice cream as it's sweeter). I usually go for the original as I like to mix up my toppings and one reason out of many reasons why I *love* Meecha's frozen yoghurt's is simply because their original flavoured frozen yoghurt isn't sour. When someone mentions frozen yoghurt, we automatically assumed its going to taste like frozen probiotic yoghurt which is oh-so-sour, but no, it isn't. You will be suprised how yummy it tastes! The texture is very important for me and it strikes the right balance between icy and creamy.

If you are a fan of sweet deserts or love fruit with ice cream then I would highly recommend a frozen yoghurt as they are satisfying and a real treat on a sunny day.

There is a choose-your-own-toppings service and the staff are very approachable when it comes to recommendations which is very helpful as there are sooooooo many choices.

Prices start from £2 without toppings
mini - large size tubs

Choice of toppings is endless, I love their variety because as a treat, I would have the chocolate brownies and/or chocolate buttons as well as the blueberries and/or strawberries ( you got to weigh the good with the bad hey! ) but depending on my mood I may add the popping pearls. The flavours for the popping pearls are unique because they have lychee, mango, passion fruit and more. I usually go for passion fruit to go with my blueberries.

The popping pearls can be quite weird at first because no one really knows what to expect but they are addictive as they're fun to eat and fruity - if you like fruit syrup then highly recommend this! You can have as much flavours as you like for the same price which is fantastic!

various sauce for the topping - I opted for butterscott today!

Meecha offer a loyalty card for any of their products, which means everytime you visit, you present your loyalty card and they stamp to indicate your visit, after 9 purchases, your 10th is free. Not only this is a great offer but if you work in the Bullring or have a valid NUS card, you get 10% off - Meecha are generous and love customers going back for more than 1 visit.

my final product - yummeh!!! I definitely did enjoy this out in the sun!

If you're visiting Birmingham then this is a place I would recommend to try as Meecha is only available in Bullring Birmingham at the moment. Suitable for all ages, male and female. Did I also mention to you that the toppings are gluten free and also vegetarian friendly?

Check out Meecha Website for more information.

Enjoy!!

Artisan Chocolates Review

My ultimate favourite chocolate brand in the UK is Artisan Du Chocolat and have been since the first time I tried their couture chocolates in 2011.
Couture Box 20 Pieces £17.00
I love how soft the chocolates are on my tongue and how smooth they are when they blend together with the intense flavours.

There are 38 couture chocolates with various types of flavours such as fruits, flowers, herbs, spices, nuts & seeds all different patterns and textures. There are also discs, truffles and pearls in various flavours and fantastic ideas for gifts.

I got this box for my birthday from my Best Friends and I had 20 pieces (to myself lol) filled with various flavours.

I love how pristine the box is and the chocolate patterns!

I love Artisan because I love the presentation of the boxes, the chocolate pieces and the way they taste. They don't taste like any other chocolate and the quality is just amazing!
I really enjoy eating hand made chocolates, they give me the satisfaction of a very rewarding effort in each solid piece. To me, the presentation and quality is very important in good chocolates, otherwise why else would I pay such a money for an enjoyment?

From the moment the box is opened, there is already a clear high quality sticker on the front for the paper to be sealed together.
I got so excited to open them up!

BTW, I have never bought these for myself before as I always buy them for someone else hence why the total excitement I got!

How it works is, you chose what size you would like, either 4, 12, 20, 30, 56, or 99 pieces of the Couture Chocolates and then you chose which pieces of chocolates you would like. There is also the choice of a 20 piece pick & mix box where the staff just pick random ones for you but of course you can tell them which flavours you want to avoid. They are very helpful to match your criteria.

The staff are always very approachable and give very detailed recommendations. They know exactly what ingredients are in the chocolates and very respectful of your decisions. Good customer service is important, especially for a high quality chocolate company.

Artisan Du Chocolat is only available exclusively in Birmingham Selfridges, London Selfridges, London Borough Market, Manchester Trafford Centre Selfridges, Notting Hill Store, Chelsea Store. Click here for the store details.
They are freshly made, and can taste this in each of their products.

I highly recommend this as a gift idea for people you love, for chocolate lovers this is very ideal! I hope you all enjoy them just as much as I do every single time I eat them!

Pierre Hermé Macaroons

I treat myself every now and then when I have worked extra hard, it gives me more courage to do what I do and remember to not let the dream snatchers affect me.

I have an addiction for macarons or 'macaroons' as we pronounce them here in the UK.
Macaroon's are small sweet meringue-like treats filled with genache in different flavours and pastes such as peanut butter, butter cream, nutella, jam. The outer shells come in different flavours such as tea flavours, fruit flavours, chocolates, flower scents.
My favourites are green tea, black sesame, earl grey tea, hazelnut.

I always buy macaroons whenever I travel, I just like the idea of eating macaroons in different cities. It's a nice luxurious thing to do when I am relaxing. I like to eat mine with a cup of green tea or ice cold water on a hot day.

I have never tried Pierre Herme macaroons before so I decided to purchase some from the London Selfridges store.
I was in London for the day for a business meeting so I thought I would treat myself.

The bag is quite pretty and luxurious feel to it.

I love the way the logo was printed on the sides of the bag.
It's not too big and not in your face, it's just humble and simple.

the box

There are different boxes to chose from depending on how many macaroons you chose to buy.

I decided to buy 7 as I didn't want to buy too much to eat and not appreciate them as much.

All 7 macaroons fitted in this cute box.

7 macaroons in different flavours
The main flavours I chose were rose ones, I like the taste and smell of rose, I just think it's so unique and precious. I also chose the green tea and salted caramel one as it's also a fun flavour to try!
The one that really caught my eye was the Mandarin Orange Olive Oil & Red Berries flavour!! I really couldn't wait to take them home to try!
They all sit in a thin piece of grease proof paper to keep the box nice and clean.

The macaroons are so plumpy, the ganache is more buttery than I thought but the shell is so crispy, even after 2 days ( I store them in the fridge to seal the freshness) of purchasing them.
I have to admit, the flavours are not as intense as ones I have tried previously, but still very precise with the shell and the nuttyness in them. ( I know nuttyness isn't a word but you get what I mean right?)

I love the sides of the presentation box, just oh-so-cute!! London themed - I will never forget where I purchased these from!

I am going to keep my box and re-use it!

Great gift ideas for someone who loves collecting cute boxes, macaroons, and enjoy a treats!
